The Speed Academy is the promotion of young talent in German motorsport. Its aim is to accompany talented young drivers on their way to becoming professionals and to prepare them completely for the demanding profession of racing driver with targeted specialist content.
The Speed Academy has already produced renowned talents like Nico Hülkenberg, Adrian Sutil, Marco Wittmann, Pascal Wehrlein, René Rast and Daniel Abt and has accompanied them on their journey to the highest motorsport disciplines including Formula 1, DTM and ADAC GT Masters.
The Project 1 Speed Academy packages all these competencies in the search for the talents of the future.
Training in the professional racing simulator
Part of the training plan of the Speed Academy Fast Track Racing Centre is the regular use of the in-house racing simulator. Every race track in the world and every racing vehicle from single seater formula and GT racing can be replicated. The engineers at the Speed Academy Fast Track Racing log and track all data such as racing lines, braking and switching points and braking intensity on the monitor in real time. In addition to a precise error analysis, direct feedback is possible, and the driving style is therefore continuously improved. The professional simulator is also used to prepare for tests and races.
