SUPERCUP CHAMPION TEN VOORDE REINFORCES PROJECT 1 IN LE MANS

The legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place in France from September 17th to 20th. The #56 Porsche 911 RSR from Team Project 1 will also be at the start of the seventh round of the FIA WEC. In 2019, the team from Lohne triumphed in the LMGTE Am class. In addition to the then winner Egidio Perfetti, Matteo Cairoli and youngster Larry ten Voorde will take the wheel of the Porsche.

With ten Voorde, the former Project 1 junior returns to the team. The Dutchman has been part of the team's driver line-up in the past. At that time they celebrated many successes together, including victories in the team and rookie classification of the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany 2017 and second place in the rookie classification of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup 2018.

A short time later, the next step in the career of the 23-year-old: In both the FIA WEC races in Bahrain and Shanghai, ten Voorde strengthened the line-up of the #57 Project 1 Porsche in 2019.

"I'm very happy to be able to compete for Project 1 at Le Mans this year," says ten Voorde. “We have already contested a lot of runs together and celebrated successes. I owe a lot to the team. The fact that I'm now starting the 24-hour race is a great next step. I am very grateful to the team and everyone involved for the opportunity and can hardly wait to be at the start with Egidio and Matteo. We have a strong package and I am convinced that we can get a top result. "

The Dutchman can tackle the preparations for the long-distance classic in Le Mans with an extra dose of motivation: last Sunday, September 6th, ten Voorde crowned himself champion in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in Monza, Italy, with a convincing lights to flag victory.

In addition to the #56, the second of the two Project 1 Porsches used in the FIA WEC will also start.  It will be driven by Ben Keating, Felipe Fraga and Jeroen Bleekemolen.
